Last updated: May 8, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how JobLinker (“JobLinker”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal data when you use our website, application, and related services available through joblinkerapp.com and related pages (the “Service”).

By using the Service, you acknowledge that your personal data may be processed as described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Who operates the Service

JobLinker is operated by the JobLinker project owner.

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • employers, recruiters, agencies, and other customers who create accounts and manage vacancies through the Service;

  • resume or CV uploaded as PDF;
  • optional LinkedIn URL;
  • optional salary expectations or similar application answers;
  • recruiter notes and application status updates created by the customer inside the Service;

C. Technical and security data

  • basic server logs and request metadata;
  • anti-abuse data used to protect the Service and reduce spam or misuse;
  • authentication and session-related technical data necessary to keep the Service secure and functioning.

4. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

  • provide and operate the Service;
  • create and manage user accounts;
  • publish vacancies and receive candidate applications;
  • store and display resumes and related application details to the relevant customer;
  • help customers review candidates, update statuses, add notes, and schedule interviews;
  • maintain security, prevent abuse, and detect misuse or harmful activity;
  • process payments, subscriptions, invoices, and billing-related operations where paid features are used;
  • comply with applicable legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

5. Legal bases for processing

Depending on the context, we process personal data because processing is necessary to provide the Service, to operate requested functionality, to pursue legitimate interests such as security and abuse prevention, to manage billing and subscriptions, or because a user has chosen to submit information through the Service.

6. Roles of the parties

For account, service administration, security, billing, and website operation, JobLinker generally acts as the data controller.

For candidate data submitted to a customer through the Service, the customer generally decides why and how that candidate data is used for hiring purposes. In those cases, the customer is generally the controller for the hiring activity, and JobLinker acts as a service provider or processor for hosting and workflow support.

7. Sharing of personal data

We do not sell personal data.

We may share personal data only as needed with:

  • the relevant customer receiving a candidate’s application;
  • hosting, infrastructure, storage, database, security, payment, or email service providers used to operate the Service;
  • professional advisors or authorities where required by law or necessary to protect rights, safety, or the Service.

8. Data storage

Application and account data are stored in our application database. Resume files are stored separately as uploaded files managed by the Service.

We use infrastructure, storage, security, and email providers needed to operate the Service reliably and securely, including cloud hosting, Cloudflare services, object storage, transactional email services, and payment processors where applicable.

9. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Service, provide requested functionality, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal requirements.

  • Active vacancies and related applications are retained while they remain active in the Service.
  • Archived vacancies are retained for 30 days on the Free plan and 90 days on the Pro plan.
  • After the retention period ends, archived vacancies, related applications, and stored resume files are permanently deleted automatically.
  • If a vacancy or archived data is deleted manually by the customer, associated application records and stored resume files are also deleted as part of that process.
  • Billing and transaction records may be retained for longer where required for tax, accounting, compliance, dispute, or fraud-prevention purposes.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal data from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no online service can guarantee absolute security.

11. International use

JobLinker may be used internationally. Depending on where our infrastructure and service providers are located, personal data may be processed in countries outside the user’s home country.

12. User rights

Depending on applicable law, users may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or portability of certain personal data. Users may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.

Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].

13. Candidate submissions

Candidates submit applications directly to the employer or recruiter using the Service. If you are a candidate and want your application data corrected or deleted, you may contact both the relevant employer and JobLinker. We may direct certain requests to the relevant customer where they control the hiring process and related decisions.

14. Children

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age.

15. Cookies and similar technologies

At this time, JobLinker uses only the technical cookies or similar technologies reasonably necessary for authentication, session continuity, security, and core operation of the Service. If we later add analytics, marketing, or other optional tracking tools, we may update this Privacy Policy and implement additional notice or consent tools where required.

16. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page with the updated effective date.
